Do you require a deposit and/or contract? +
We require a deposit and a signed contract to reserve our services for your date. Deposit amounts are included in our interactive quote generator based on the services you select (accessible via the Availability Check tool on our website).
-
When is final payment due? +
Final payment is due 14 days before your event.
-
Can I make incremental payments? +
Yes. As long as your contract is paid in full 14 days prior to your event, you can pay any time and in as many payments as you wish. When we receive any payment, we will email to confirm the amount applied toward your event and provide an updated remaining balance.

Who will be DJing my event? +
If you book the Signature Wedding DJ package you can choose to have Steve or one of the other serior staff perform your wedding at the time of booking.
For Classic and Deluxe Wedding packages, we assign staff two months in advance.
With any package, all planning within two months of your event is done directly with the person who will serve as the Master of Ceremonies at your reception. This allows you to interact and get to know each other prior to your wedding day, and ensures everyone is on the same page for event order, song selection, and name pronunciations. -
Who do I contact if I have questions, need song recommendations, or would like advice on something? +
Steve normally handles the majority of our pre-event client assistance personally. You can contact him through any of the options in the right sidebar.

How does your planning process work? +
When you book our services for your wedding, we will provide you with a wedding packet that contains a hard copy reception planner. This planner covers the majority of what we need to know about your event in order to deliver a high-quality, personalized performance—including your music selections and general preferences, order and procedures for all events, and names of the bridal party and family we will be announcing and/or referencing during the reception. We encourage you to start filling this out as far in advance as possible, and if you have any questions or need advice on songs or the best way to handle something just contact us and Steve or another one of our staff will be happy to assist you.
We request that the reception planner be returned by mail or fax one month before your event. Planning can also be handled online through the Client Area of our website, if you prefer. After you submit your planner, the staff member who will be handling the Master of Ceremonies duties at your event will take over. All final meetings and phone communication will be between you and your DJ. At minimum they will go over the order of events, song selections, and all name pronunciations with you. Not only does direct communication ensure nothing will be “lost in translation,” but also gives your DJ a chance to get a feel for your personalities and the style of performance you’ll like best. -
Can I meet Steve before booking? +
Yes. DJing is Steve’s primary source of income, and as such his schedule is normally fairly flexible. Our offices are located in Ames, however Steve is in the Des Moines area on a regular basis and can be available to meet with clients in that area as well.
-
Can I meet with my DJ before booking? +
We do our best to accommodate requests to meet other members of our staff and schedule specific DJs for your event if you have a preference.
-
What is your cancellation policy? +
If you cancel more than 30 days prior to your event you owe nothing more than the retainer. If you cancel closer to your event you will be responsible for paying the full contract amount. We aren’t heartless, though, and do our best to accommodate any extenuating circumstances.
